AC Repair in Kaneohe Built by a Local Owner

Maleko Kealoha started Makani Windward AC & Heating to serve the homes and businesses around Kaneohe Bay where he grew up. Operating from the shop at 45-588 Kamehameha Hwy Ste Z-221, he focuses on AC Repair and AC Replacement & Installation for the older single-wall and concrete-block houses common in Kaneohe and nearby Kailua. The constant warm temperatures and steady trade winds in Honolulu County push systems hard year-round, so Maleko keeps crews ready to handle salt-air corrosion near the water and the extra humidity that builds up around Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden.

What sets the company apart is the owner-operator approach. Maleko still takes many of the after-hours calls himself and knows the specific quirks of windward properties that sit in the rain shadow of the Ko'olau mountains. When a unit fails on a humid evening with Mokolii Island in view, the team arrives with parts sized for the tropical loads that Honolulu County homes actually face instead of generic mainland specs.

Service stays straightforward: show up on time, explain the issue in plain terms, and give an upfront price before any work begins. That same crew handles everything from quick AC Repair fixes on aging window units to full AC Replacement & Installation on newer homes closer to Kaneohe Bay Drive.
